FIMBER HALT

Meet Fimber Halt – this is the HQ of the recently re-opened Yorkshire Wolds Railway - the only Heritage Railway in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Although the track is only about 30 metres long, there are plans to extend to the village of Wetwang.

As a working railway line it closed 55 years ago but a group of real enthusiasts have put in a load of work to get things up and running again. More info on the weblink below – and I wish them all the luck in the world.
