Olympic Torch

The Olympic Torch is being carried through Scotland, and today came up to Rutherglen from Stranraer and is heading for Glasgow. I went to Rutherglen, my hometown, to see it being carried along the main street. It was cheered all the way and there were lots of entertainments on to keep us amused while waiting, particularly the antics of the marshalls, who were all young boys and girls. It was not a bright sunny day, but thankfully the rain stayed away.
