It landed!

I watched this butterfly for a while... It was gloomy and muggy again today, but I really wanted a garden image.  And this new butterfly was teasing me for the longest time; never landing for long enough or near enough for me to get a shot! :)  But, after an eternity.... It finally sat down near me, got used to me and my nosey camera and I managed to capture decent images of both the top and bottom of it's spectacular wings. I have no idea what kind of butterfly it is (it wasn't in my insect book and I haven't seen one around here before).  So if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear what you think.  The extra photo is of the top side...
