Date Night
Another visit to GP to try to get BP sorted. Meds upped again.
Then babysitting so we had a quick jaunt to the park with Ella and Nathaniel. Their Mum's meeting did not go on too long so Mr C and I left her to it, and we got the metro into town. We had a quick bite in Wagamama then to Theatre Royal for Twelve Angry Men. It was strange to hear Tom Conti with an American accent. I remember him as a young man in Glittering Prizes. (I wonder how that would stand up to the test of time?) The actors must have been exhausted with all that shouting. Andrew Lancet was very effective as the last juror to turn. I remember him from Cardiac Arrest which was one of our favoutite programmes from over 20 years ago. We really enjoyed it, and as always say we must do it more often, but it's an expensive night out now the council has had to remove all subsidies to the arts - however the theatre was full.
This is the theatre, Ian McKellan's favourite he says, set in the Georgian splendour of Grey Street. (He of the tea,)
