View From the Sky Garden

The 'Walkie Talkie' tower at 20 Fenchurch Street has been fascinating since long before its completion. From the stories of its concave windows acting like lasers against parked cars on the street below to its much vaunted Sky Garden 35 storeys up, it's been on my radar to visit for some time. I finally booked (free) tickets for today, and G and I went through their impressively tight security to have a look. The views at the top really were amazing, although the garden wasn't quite as extensive as I'd imagined, and all in all it was a great visit and the wine we had was delightful. It was a great change of pace after a tiring week, and especially considering how expensive the Shard's viewing gallery is, it's definitely worth a repeat visit.
