Porty People and Places
Today began with business calls before breakfast. A swim before hosting visitors from across the globe for lunch and afternoon meetings.
As the light began to fade we took a spin along the sands. The sea was flat calm. The two swimmers were enjoying the expanse of still water in which to train.
This curtain of seaweed was festooned over the groyne end. Trapped there by the easterly winds that have whipped up this coast, at high tide, over the last few days.
The onshore surf always throws up interesting shells and, at this time of year, jellyfish. Starfish and octopus will appear later in the summer.
