One step forward, three steps back

The girl had her foot op at the beginning of March, she got signed off from the hospital last Monday. Last Tuesday she dropped a bottle on her foot at work, her foot started hurting.
We went back to the hospital today for an x-ray , the bone that had healed is broken again. She has to wear the strange wedge shoe thing again, can't drive for 6 weeks again, the surgeon said he could sign her off work for another 6 weeks to ensure good healing. But on £80 a week sick pay, it's just not doable, so my girl is feeling pretty rubbish. It'll be ok in the long run, it's not the end of the world and we should count our blessings, I just need to cheer her up a bit.
