Everyone needs a hobby ...

It should have been my crochet group this afternoon, but in my current malaise I didn't fancy it, so went off to the nature reserve where I often see a kingfisher.

I did, in fact, see the kingfisher - but it was totally overshadowed by my first ever sighting of a hobby. There were two of them, hunting over the lake.

Hobbys catch dragonflies and eat them while in flight - like this.
