Land and grab!

One of our neighbours was kindly feeding the birds for me while we were in Texas. I gave her one bag of sunflower hearts and turns out she needed to buy two more! I refilled the feeders yesterday and it was nearly all gone today so once again I filled them up.I was watching the goldfinches today - we have at least two juveniles (not pictured) when this robin swept in and grabbed a sunflowerheart and was off again in an instant.

I was out in the garden for two and a half hours just tidying up, dead heading, pruning and weeding. I cannot believe how out of control it has got in ten days! Both Rob and I have been feeling pretty rough with the jetlag, me more so as I have a cold and cough too. I am hoping we will be able to stay up for GoT season finale tonight and then a good night's sleep.
