This is Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. 

The whole island is low-rise. It's such a change from many Spanish resorts and the blight of the 70's poorly built hotels which were thrown up to satisfy the needs of the first generation of Brits to go en-masse to Spain for their holidays.

Oh and we used to go to Lloret and Benidorm!
