Digitalis....

...or more commonly known as a foxglove. We went for an afternoon walk across Alver Valley this afternoon, a beautiful mixture of woodland, grassland and lakes, all of which is managed by a group of volunteers financed by the local council. There were various late Spring and early Summer wild flowers bursting into bloom making the area awash with colour, margarites, iris's, dog roses to name but a few. One flower that caught my eye though was this wild foxglove, its vivid lilac colour contrasting against the bright green foliage around it was just crying out to be photographed
