FEED ME!
At this time of year there is a constant flight of swallows in and out of the stables where my wife rides. On occasion it is a miracle that we do not crash into the parents as they fly in and out in their constant task of collecting food for hungry mouths.
Their behaviour is quite comical because as soon as anyone enters the stables the parents will not fly up to the nest, despite the constant crying for food from the chicks. They were even more agitated when the local yard cat decided to climb into the eaves of the roof; thank fully he couldn't get close to the nest.
This is at best an honourable effort. I was fighting low light, resulting in high ISO and slow shutter speed. This is an equivalent of a 420mm f4 at full frame so shooting at 1/50th sec was bound to lead to some softness in the image. It probably has more to do with the impressive image stabilisation of the camera than my technique that you can even recognise the subjects.
Had a very pleasurable time seeing hares, deer and a multitude of different wildlife while out, but these hungry fellas just had to be posted
