Today started with my customary visit to the bakery but also to the butcher's, as I had planned to make some crepes today. Ham and Breton andouille sausage were bought.

After breakfast, I made the batter for the buckwheat crepes - a traditional recipe, where you add the ingredients slowly and only use the strength of your arms to blend them well. You actually make a quite solid dough ball before adding water and/or milk.

The beginning of the afternoon was spent watching the in-port race of the Volvo Ocean Race taking place in Lorient. A good race, with a nice rally from the girls aboard SCA In the last of the six legs. They just won the offshore stage from Porto to Lorient.

We then went for a ride in the car, stopped by the same auberge as yesterday but drank soft drinks, then back home where I prepared the batter for the sweet crepes. We then proceeded to eat them. :-)
