Loch Laxford from Red Point..

..cooked breakfast, with Staffordshire Oatcakes, created in Scourie. And very good they were too. Archers, and then try and play with the plumbing for the water pipe to the crofts. I want to run it from near the toby, but don't have enough free pipe to do it. I do have two tobies, one away in the marsh beyond A's house, and one fitted a few years ago, just outside the extension where the water pipe enters the house. I will have to dig out some garden, and move the new toby to a bit further away. I'll then be able to run the croft water pipe as planned, and avoiding any new building work that we have planned.

I also have some 25 to 22 mm joining kits, to join the MDPF pipe to the 22 mm copper pipe. Opening the packet, I just can't work out how it goes together. There are 5 pieces of plastic ring, metal clamp, and rubber seals. But it just doesn't fit together as the instructions describe. It was only when I looked at another pack, that I find out one of the pieces is for 15 mm pipe. And that's why the 22 mm pipe wouldn't fit!! It took me about an hour to work that out!

It's been a nice day, and we went for our Sunday walk, and I decided to take G and Tanni out to Redpoint, just beyond Foindle. It's a nice walk that I did with Tanni when G was down with her mum a few months ago. There are great views to Handa, and Stoer point to the South, the Outer Hebrides to the West, and across Loch Laxford to Ardmore, KLB, Oldshoremore, and Polin. This view looking down the Loch to Foinaven, Arkle, and Ben Stack.

It rained just as we left the car, and we met up with R when we got back to the car (she was driving past). She'd taken a friend up Quinag today, and it snowed while they were on the top, around 1'o'clock..!! This is typical of most of the weather today..

..and there's a Tanni hiding in the pic as well!!..
