Busker

Busker at Trafalgar Square.  Today I was at Westminster University for a RPS lecture for the "Women in Photography" series.   There was four speakers - Monica Allende, Gina Glover, Jenny Matthews and Alixandra Fazzina.

The latter two were amazing I could have listened to their stories for days.  Both are dedicated to humanitarian photography of woman's life's in areas of war and conflict.  Many places I recognised  from countries I have previously travelled to which was probably why I was so enthralled.  A couple of places were deemed dangerous and not advisable to visit when I was there in the '90's therefore  the danger these two woman put themselves and the sheer dedication in to tell their stories is all the more amazing.
