Do you go to the Country? It isn't very far
Today was our last full day in Brittany and we really didn't have anything planned, so we had a wee look on the map and headed for a wee marina on the coast, stopping off at this view point on the way.
The road is called "Rue de Julius Cesar for obvious reasons. Julius built the road. It is very straight and goes from one place to another. Triff.
The story goes that Julius also built a fort here, and it is the fort on which we are standing on; but that is a pile of pish. Tis actually a 2000BC burial mound.
There was a very attractive little path up to the top, and true to the sign's information it was a fairly cool vantage point - you could see all the way round. North, south , east and west.
Tooli had a bit of an eppy . She headed up before us, and ran back down at speed after being "attacked by a python". After much discussion we believed it may be an adder.
We all bimbled up together. I have to walk slow, because I am crapply unfit.
We headed back down what Si said was an easy path, I cried all the way down, while Tooli shouted, "you can do this, you can do this", and once I got down and stopped crying "See, don't you feel better that you did it yourself".
No, not really. I hate slipping and falling over.
Then we drove on to a beautiful marina. We bimbled round all the gorgeous shops, poking and prodding and contemplating purchases. Then we stopped off at a lovely quay side restaurant where we consumed moules et frites, and creme brulee (not on the same plate), and laughed at my bad, bad french which no french person can understand.
Then we drove back to the house, stopping off at Hyper U and purchasing 150 ltrs of Wine for Tooli's birthday.
