Patches of Sunlight.
This morning Queen Phoebe found a very comfortable spot of sunlight, where golden rays shone across the carpet, right in front of the cutting table in the sewing room.
She seemed very contented, cosy and happy, until....in bounded puppy Forrest!
Phoebe was not impressed! She hissed and snarled at Forrest (she is the Queen of the house, after all!) but did Forrest pay attention? Not a chance! Forrest is a friend to all creatures, and simply does not understand the meaning of hissing and snarling at all. In fact, she thinks it's all a game!
So Forrest decided she was going to share Phoebe's patch of sunlight!
The only way for a Queen Cat (she's earned her title, she's 16, you know...) to get any peace and quiet, when there's a bouncing elephant puppy in the house, is to find a new patch of sunlight, in a place where Forrest cannot venture....
So to the back of the sofa, right in front of the window, Queen Phoebe again found her rays of golden sunlight, safe from that stampeding elephant!
And once again, peace reigned, and all was well in the Kingdom of Queen Phoebe.
