Lake Blanche

I took a hike today with a couple of hiking buddies to a place called Lake Blanche.

The picture I have included as the main shot does not include the lakes.  It does include a couple of backpackers standing on a wall that was built in the early 1900s and the outstanding mountains surrounding Lake Blanche and two others lakes.

It was a gorgeous day with wonderful conversation.

I did include an extra shot which shows glacial markings from over 12,000 years ago as they drug stones across the area.

The peak in the background of the extra shot is called sundial peak, which has a prominent position above Lake Blanche.

It was truly a great day.
