Doggie Bin.

Another back blip, posted on 14th of June.

Today, two bins, of which this is one, appeared in the village. It has taken several years of campaigning by one of our neighbours to have such receptacles placed at strategic points on the local dog walking circuit. In an effort to strengthen her case with the local cooncil she volunteered to empty them herself and had a small band of recruits to cover for her when she couldn’t do it herself. There has also been a flood of notices along the circuit stating that all the mess has been cleared up and would dog walkers now respect that occurence by cleaning up after their pets. Although I know that she did the unpleasant job herself and that it must have taken her several hours, she is not claiming any brownie points for the act, but this does not mean that she hasn’t earned them.
