Funky lite

Ok so they're nowhere near as cool as the last ones and I paid more than was strictly necessary but they fit both my feet and my orthotics and have decent cushioning so I'll consider that a result. It was worth paying the extra to have them properly analysed and fitted this time. I suspect it's not that often that our local specialist running shop hear the opening gambit "I'm not allowed to run but..."

In a doubly successful day I also found steel toe work boots that fit and I can walk in. And less deliberately some work shorts. They were meant for K but their sizing was so on the small side that they fit me perfectly. Result.

In between there was a recce of IKEA and John Lewis for emergency kitting out house ideas, a health scare for my Dad and after a lazy M&S dinner for £10 and the football.

The paramedics ran a load of tests and were happy to d/c as long as he goes to the GP on Monday. My folks are staying with my sister so I was persuaded not to drive up tonight. Still mentally on standby. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
