Musendam Peninsula, Oman

Left Dubai for the weekend on a trip to the Musendam Peninsula in Oman.
It's a 4 hour drive up the coast towards the bit of land that forms one side of the Straits of Hormuz.
While most of the UAE is pretty flat this area is rugged and mountainous, with the mountains dropping straight into the sea so the only road clings to the coast as it winds its way in and out of all the various inlets along the coast.
All these inlets are why this area is also known as the Norway of Arabia.
I chose completely the wrong time of year to visit, it really is far too hot as you can tell from the fact that there was absolutely nobody else on this whole beach.
