Meadow Brown?

Please feel free to identify, I get so confused looking at the Butterflies of Britain and Europe book! I think the extra photo could be a Tree Grayling?

Weeding and stone shifting to improve the zen garden today, my fingers are sore! It is pouring down now so it feels good having done that while D was clipping the banks and fertilising the lawn. An English lawn is impossible when surrounded by meadows and trees but he is making a valiant effort!
