Ferdinand

This rose was lit up by the evening sun. Like everything else it has flowered well this year despite not being pruned this spring. Last year I blipped it on June 10 so we have almost caught up with the season. I have had it many years. It is called Ferdinand Pichard and you can still buy it at David Austin.
A good gardening day today, pruning a clematis. This requires concentration as new shoots come from wood that looks very dead. Luckily the plant us very vigorous and survives any treatment meted out to it.
