I went to the gym this morning, and instead of listening to the radio on my headphones, I watched the Trooping of the Colour. I love watching the Welsh Guards, marching along in their wonderful red tunics. One of the drummers, was from Maesteg, which is a village not far from here. I expect his family were very proud to see him, at such a wonderful ceremony . When I came out, I phoned J to meet me, and while I was waiting, I could see lots of cars parked in Newbridge Fields. I walked over to the river, and saw lots of kayak's in the river, and all along the banks. It was an organised slalom race , with all ages taking part. The weather was awful ,and it was tipping down. I phoned J to wait for me in the car park, and sheltered underneath a tree to take some photos. I did manage to take quite a few shots but got very wet in the process. At least that was my blip sorted, so I came home and changed out of my wet clothes. I was wet on the inside, thanks to the work out, and wet on the outside , due to the rain. It hasn't stopped raining all day, and it is so dark as well. It gives a whole new meaning to. flaming June!
