Thursday!

Tonight we were invited to dinner at my friend Karen's to celebrate Chris's birthday which was earlier in the week together with Jaime-Lee, and their friend Crystal.  Unfortunately,  Chris's partner Tony couldn't make it as he had to stay home and puppy sit their 8 week old twin miniature dachshund puppies.  I was hoping to see them, but they only got them on Monday and they're still getting to grips with the house training! But I'm going round to Chris's to have my hair done next weekend, so I'll see them then :-)

Anyway, we had a fun night  - this photo was taken by Crystal, and one tip that Chris has given us from his TV work, to get a natural smile on a photo, is to look away from the camera, count to three and as you turn your head, say Thursday as the photo is taken - this is the result.

Karen has a fantastic penthouse apartment with a large terrace overlooking the harbour at Newhaven, so we enjoyed watching the Ferry arrive from France.  Across the road from Karen's they're clearing some land to build some new houses and Alan spotted a fox.  I managed to get a couple of photos, but it was a long way away and also dusk, so it's not particularly sharp, but it's the first opportunity I've had to 'shoot' a fox, they're usually too quick!  Anyway, I've put some photos in my extras.
