Look, he is smiling at me!

This big hornet suddenly appeared in our house this morning, before we had opened any windows or doors.  So we are not sure where he had been hiding.  We captured him gently and took him outside where happily he flew away.  I read on wiki that their stings can be much worse than bees and that certain types found in China and Japan have stings that kill people.  I think ours was grateful to us for saving him and I am sure he is smiling at us.  Have a good weekend, folks
