Col de Bavella

Today started a bit wet which didn't matter too much as we were headed up North to Corte which is in the mountains in the middle.

The road took us over the Col de Bavella which is described as the most beautiful road in Corsica.  I would say it is up there with the most beautiful road in Europe (well the bits I've seen anyway)

We nearly didn't stop at the Col itself because it looked so busy but avoiding the €3 parking charge we stopped and walked to the edge of the most amazing view I have seen outside Yosemite.  It was simply stunning and photographs don't really do it justice.  It was difficult taking pictures without people in the way but Photoshop has worked its magic and as you can see,  we were the only people there.

Quote of the day from Technophobe as we were pulling out of a rather tricky blind parking spot -   

'It's Ok,  there's a mirror on the other side of the road so I can see.   Watch out,  there's something coming - Oh, it's us!'
