Old Technology

One of the sluice gates controlling the level of water in the ponds at Baddesley Clinton.  I find myself increasingly drawn to 'old technology' and am increasingly impressed by the ingenuity* put into things designed to last more than a few years and to be repairable.

* or should that be a 'keep it simple' approach.
