CHIVE SURFING

This gypsy moth caterpillar was winding its way through some chives.  It is super-hairy and has 5 pair of blue spots followed by 6 pair of red spots with tufts of hair coming out of each as well as a hefty growth around its head.  Not the prettiest caterpillar ever, but still quite interesting.
