A Local Speciality

This is a wood white butterfly which are extremely rare, but the Devon Wildlife Trusts around me here are literally bursting at the seams with them!  We went for a walk on the Tarka Trail today and along the trail you walk through two DWT sites and the whole place is full of butterflies, dragonflies, wildflowers, culm grassland and lots of other fauna too - it's paradise - we need to go back very soon with the macro lens, especially to the ponds for the stunning array of insect water life, it's stunning! :) xx
