A mother and her children

Last year my family rented this nice little flat down on the coast. In front of it was a little private beach that not many outsiders knew about, and on this little beach was a duck that had come from nowhere...
We heard the story that this duck had a 'husband' but had been killed by selfish ignorant kids, and so was left on her own just waiting for him really, which is rather sad.
A couple of months ago I went back to the beach to see how it was and was surprised to see some lovely person had bought her a boyfriend! I went back down a couple of weeks ago to find she had 10 beautiful little ducklings!
I didn't have my camera on me then but I managed to take a walk down there today to check on the canoe and find them all a little more grown up!

She looked like a very proud mom.
