Dew claw

When we got islay she had a damaged dew claw. A short time later it broke off completely. It has never really grown back properly though I'm curious to see how it will come on. I have a feeling it will never look normal.

Long walk early afternoon in the Hermitage today where we'd get access to some shade and water. Bill was absolutely knackered. He really is getting too old for proper walkies but he just loves them and like all dogs can't bear to be left behind. We went up by the doocot and right along the top path. Bill's eyes were bugging out by the time we got back to the car. Islay of course was still full of energy (she's 2 and he's 13) and she could go further but he just couldn't. But he does love walkies.
