Close...Up

I've always enjoyed close-up and macro photography. But, maybe thanks to 'maymacromayhem' and now 'TinyTuesday', I find myself a bit...obsessed (not that I'm ever 'obsessive' about anything Hahahaha!) on getting really close, I mean right up in their little faces close, to my subjects. I guess that the creatures around my yard are so used to my presence with the camera that they show little or no fear when confronted. I tried to take some dog shots today but...here I am back to my 'non-obsession'! This Brown anole allowed me to get within 4 inches of it's head to take this shot. If you look closely you can see me reflected in it's eye. In the 'extra photos'...find a tiny tiny creature that road into the house this morning on some seed buds I had deadheaded. It was incredibly small, about as large as this *! I took the shot with it on a paper towel and those are the paper fibers you are seeing! After I released it back to the plant I found it on, I tried to determine exactly what it was. 8 legs, so probably an arachnid but those two pinchers up front remind me of a scorpion, but minus the tail. I'm stumped! I'll show the photo to someone at our Natural History Museum. ??? Hope it doesn't grow up to be a huge photographer-eating something or another. The second 'extra' has absolutely not one redeeming artistic quality. It's just a bug holding on for dear life. Many of us can appreciate it's predicament! :)
