Flowering tree

Stopped on Pelsall Common on my way home from craft session today.  Intending to look at a group  of trees which showed a contrast between the dark shade underneath while the tops were in bright sunlight.  However I was distracted by this gorgeous flowering tree.  Have tried to identify it but without success, I think it might be a species of crab apple or a cherry.
