First

This is one of the first flowers on our rhododendron, which does amazingly well considering our soil is totally unsuitable! We do treat it to occasional watering with ericaceous feed.

It's a hot day today, but still with that strong breeze which never seems to go and for which there is no explanation. Tomorrow we are apparently going to have a day and a night filled with thunderstorms, but last time nothing happened so we shall see!
