Amorphophallus titanum

AKA the titan arum, this native of the rain forest in Sumatra can be found in the Wintergarden at the Auckland Domain. As you can see, it has not come into full bloom yet. May be within the next couple of days. I am keeping an eye on its progress. :)

It is also known as the corpse flower, due to the powerful rotten flesh like stench it produces when it begins to flower, to attract pollinators.
