Art for Art's Sake

Quite a busy day, with dull drizzly weather on and off, but the garden is desperately dry so we didn't mind too much. In the evening we were invited to an art exhibition given by some friends from our village; two painters and a sculptor.
We aren't really into modern art, but went along to support them, and visit the venue as it was in the Abbaye de Fontdouce, between Saintes and Cognac, a place we hadn't been before.
