The Road Home

So hard to choose one photo today, would it be the spectacular cliffs from the summit of Knockmore, the island farmsteads, Granuaile's Tower House, or the medieval paintings on the walls and ceiling of the twelfth century abbey! The green lane or fields of yellow flag iris, O' Malley's grocery store or the old the old potato drills which are everywhere in the landscape here.
What I was most drawn too was the quiet road with a ewe and her lamb heading home, me following with rather sore feet, the poles and wires which are everywhere on the island and the church next to the Abbey.
