summer evenings

It happened - we got a dose of summer in the North. Certainly warm enough to head straight back out after work with a hastily thrown together BBQ and a huge amount of outdoor toys and head to the lake.

Met with friends and the kids swam and played and explored and relaxed and got their nature dose and colour in their cheeks.

And the adults felt like balance was being restored...it has been a long time coming, a day of blue skies and warmth and a chance to make the most of it.

The girls are having a chat about going deeper into the water with their water floats attached - that took far longer than anytime in the water - it is still a bit chilly - says the mother who sat and watched!
