Frank Whittle, turbojet engine pioneer

I went straight to the city centre today instead of stopping at the uni to do some work. It is one of those days when you just want to leave the four corners of your usual routine and walk around aimlessly. I didnt walk aimlessly when i got to the city centre though. I bought bamboo skewers for the bbq gathering this saturday. I also saw marshmallows, and bags of chocolates. They were just 99p each so why not grab them as well. Craved for KFC and so i ordered 6 pieces hot wings, devoured them in an hour and then went back to the bus stop and headed back to the house. Lazy day all in all.

Shot this blip entry from the upper deck of a bus. It is a memorial or plaque of Sir Frank Whittle (at one corner of the Hearsall Common park) who was a previous resident of Earlsdon. It was thought that this place drew his inspiration and love for aviation when he saw an aircraft land when he was still a child.
