Sublime Cactus

I usually try for more than three days separation when featuring similar subjects (unless it is volleyball), but couldn't resist featuring this shot taken on a visit to Sunnylands. Granted it is a different type of cactus altogether from the one posted just a few days ago, the lighting is different, and the composition is certainly different, but it remains another cactus none-the-less. Well, the Palm Springs area (Sunnylands is actually located in Rancho Mirage) is full of them, so it seems right to showcase them while here. We were fortunate to visit the center before it closed for the season. Didn't take the home tour, but after touring the visitor center that will be on the list for our next trip in spite of the $40 cost.
