Cochno Hill & The Slacks
Wednesday's walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers took us out to the north-west of Glasgow and into the Kilpatrick Hills. It was the warmest day of the year so far but, thankfully, there was an occasional light breeze to make things just a little more pleasant.
The walk itself was only about 10km and was mostly on grassland paths, but it was 350m at its highest point and afforded wonderful views over Glasgow to the south, the Perthshire hills in the distance to the north and some nearby lochs and reservoirs to the east and west.
All-in-all it was an excellent day's walking and a great day out.
