Saying open up your eyes and ears

I'm totally loving back blipping , I can pretend I'm still there for a little while longer :-) 

On this day, Tuesday, we drove for just over an hour to reach a rather lovely Aquarium.    Once again we were spoilt by a complete lack of people - going on holiday off- peak is definitely the way to go. 

There were a few nursery classes in, but that was absolutely fine - I was entranced by one of the teachers who was able to spellbind his troop of around 20, four year olds with his stories of the fishes. 

We wandered round all the exhibitions at our leisure, we were able to play around and take our time and enjoy all the specimens.   

They had a massive tank full of sharks, initially we thought we were waiting for them to appear on the surface, but as we wandered round we discovered a glorious viewing gallery where we could stick our heads in portholes, sit and gaze at the sharks and turtles swimming about gently in front of us. 

When we finished there, we took a drive in to Le Croisic and had Gallettes for lunch and then had a browse around an art exhibition where we were hounded by the artistes themselves trying to make a sale.   

How we laughed. 

Then we piled back in the car and headed back .
