Grief

Grief personified in this memorial to a man called Isaac Walton, who lies in the graveyard of The Holy Paraclete church at  Kirkhaugh. This church was built in a Bavarian style with a very narrow, tall spire. This is unique in these parts. For more information see here.

James led the short walk today and I was determined to walk if I could.  We did a circular from Alston with a varied route across fields, by the river and through woods. There are still bluebells out in the darker parts.

It was a delight.
