If I'm Never Seen Again.....

.....this may be the reason.  It's the train schedule for Manchester to everywhere else and I have to admit, intimidating.   I was hoping to visit Myra and Doug who live in Manchester.  They are dear friends I've known for almost 30 years and the people who first introduced my husband and me to the Yorkshire countryside.   Sadly, Myra's health is fragile and they may not be able to travel to Hebden Bridge where I'm staying. That prompted me to wonder just how hard can it be to get from one spot to another on the train and why couldn't I go visit them?  Based on the schedule here, I would say nearly impossible.  Were it not for a couple of kind people at the train station, I would never have sorted it out.  Now, however, I know that I can get on the train in Hebden Bridge and get to the Victoria Station in Manchester with relative ease.  The train runs three times an hour starting early in the morning and is clearly marked as to where it's going.  After I get to Victoria Station I can grab a cab to Myra and Doug's home.  I think that sounds pretty easy, but in case there's a complication I'm not anticipating, my family will have a reasonable idea of where in England to concentrate the search.

P.S.  Happy Birthday Midgehole Dave!!!

The extra photos:
I walked down to the train station today and on the way passed the flea market where I spotted these jackets.  Don't know why but they just spoke to me; What happens when you put a 2-year old in the hot sun with large ice cream cone?; the sandwich is just to show my daughter that I'm eating real food, although she may have meant something that requires a fork.
