Last day in Paradise ....

Today is our last full day here on Topsail beach so we wanted to make the most of it. 

Down the street from our beach house rental is Jolly Roger Inn and Pier.  Before lunch R and I drove up to the pier to search for pelicans.  We have seen many pelicans flying over our house for the past few days but I hadn't been able to get a decent shot of one.  

Well, we didn't see any pelicans on the pier but I was able to at least get a good shot to the beach itself.   For R's perspective click here!

Later on in the day I was able to get some pelican shots (look at my extra) but they still weren't what I was after. 

We did return to the pier for the sunset but it wasn't as good a location for the sunset as we had hoped.
