HARD AT WORK
Another creature I never paid any attention to before Blip. This colorful orb-weaver spider is actually beautiful with its mosaic body and pearl-like joints that attach the leg to the thorax. Spinning its web is like an intricate dance with the silk coming from the three pair of spinnerets on the abdomen, while the feet knot the fibers, practically in rhythm, to the frame of silk. This one was busy weaving its web among some hosta leaves.
