View from the Twice Brewed Inn
As the Met Office was forecasting winds gusting to 60mph, we opted for a day of sightseeing rather than a walk in the hills!
An early start to meet Tom at Newcastle station. After some very necessary coffee, we spent a pleasant morning exploring - bridges, Grainger market and shops. Then on to the lovely town of Hexham for a bit more sightseeing and, of course, tea and cake!
And on again, this time to the Steel Rig car park, from where we walked a very short section of Hadrian's Wall - the forecast was right and the wind fierce! Only a short way from there to the Twice Brewed Inn for a meal before heading back to the flat...
