Supper
Smallholder farmers grow 70% of the world's food, and most of them are women.
Tonight in Dunscore we had an event with speakers from Christian Aid, Just Trading Scotland and the Scottish Fairtrade Forum. In between talks, there was a lovely supper of Malawian rice, Swazi sauces and salads, Fairtrade tea, coffee and chocolate.
We also had the EcoCongregation Baton which is making its way around Scotland before being presented at the COP21 talks in Paris in December, where climate change (which has affected the lives of many smallholder farmers) will be a priority issue.
