Sheringham Park
Not quite as bright a day as we were led to believe, but who needs sunshine when you have a blaze of colour like this!
We thought the rhododendrons would have been over, but they were just stunning!
A climb up viewing tower, and we had a marvellous view over the tops of the trees, with a view of the sea in the distance.
Our day started with an enormous Full English breakfast.( I won't list all the 8 items we had on the plate!)
First stop on our list, was Mannington Hall, to see the roses, but unfortunately it doesn't open on Tuesdays.
However we had a walk round the park, and saw a kingfisher from the bird hide by the lake.
Then it was on to Sheringham Park, where we had a coffee ( to warm us up. Still a cold wind)
And then a walk round the grounds to see the wonderful rhododendrons.
Tea and cheese scones at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust centre at Cley.
On to Stifkey marshes, where we walked along the coast path, and to our delight spotted 6 hares playing in a field. (To far off for any photos.)
On the way to Morston for a crab salad tea, we stopped off at The Langham Dome. see here for explanation
Used to train antiaircraft gunners in WW2.
It was closed, but there were some boards outside, which told you all about it.
Back to B&B now, after a very fulfilling day,,,,,,,,. see 6 extra photos
Both rather tired.
Will have an early night.
Lots to do tomorrow!
I would like to thank you all for your kind comments for yesterday's sunset, and I was thrilled to get in the popular pages.
